Japanese - Finnish Dictionary
For three years the Institute has supported a research project of three scholars who are making an extensive Japanese – Finnish Dictionary. Later a larger dictionary of 35 000 words will be published.

Books on Japanese/Finnish society
The Institute supports publishing of research-based books on Japanese and Finnish society. These books can be monographies or antologies, and they are published in co-operation with commercial publishing companies in Japan or Finland. Publishing language is either Finnish or Japanese. The books are to be topical for the society and bring new information about either the Japanese society to the Finns or vice versa. The project has been financed by Ministry of Education, Finland, Japan Foundation and The Japan-Finland Association.

The Institute welcomes suggestions of suitable books to be published. For additional information please contact office@finstitute.gr.jp

Conference/seminar publications
The Institute publishes seminar and conference papers connected to the institute's activities.

Joint Finnish-Japanese seminar on Northern Environmental Research

Cultural publications
The Institute publishes catalogues of art exhibitions or other cultural projects related to its activities. Occasionally the institute can also admit support for such publications.

Reports

The reports produced by the Finnish Institute in Japan aim at making Japanese arts and academia more accessible for Finnish artists and researchers to enter.
